About

Sandi and David met in 1992 and quickly felt a divine synchrony. In 1995 they married in a wonderful ceremony with friends, family and children in a beautiful log home in the country south of Nashville.

Exploration and creativity have been themes of their life together as they have traveled and worked and written and made music.

Much of their work has been an effort to integrate their different talents, training and experience. Sandi is a professional vocalist, an actor, psychotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher and life coach. David is a psychologist, sex therapist, woodworker and writer. Combining their disparate interests and experience has proven to be interesting, exciting and professionally stimulating.

“From the beginning we focused on mind-body approaches to helping people in a healing process,” David says. “We combined yoga with psychotherapy to develop a group workshop for mastering depression through the body. We also created a therapeutic group for adult survivors of child sexual abuse which integrated yoga and more traditional talk therapy.”

They have held mindfulness and yoga workshops at a retreat center on the Big Island of Hawaii; on those retreats, Sandi leads daily yoga classes and David creates meditations based on each day’s experiences among the group.

In 1998 they began studying Tantra with various teachers: Margo Anand, Daniel Odier, Charles and Caroline Muir, Sohini Genevieve and Carlo Pati. “This practice has become profoundly important to us,” Sandi says, “deepening our intimate connection and opening doors to undreamed-of ecstatic experience. In recent years we have been teaching Spirited Loving Tantra workshops together, both here in Nashville and around the country.”

Since then they have focused their individual and collaborative energies on the creative process. Sandi is broadening her musical interests to include workshops for women which incorporate chanting, movement, meditation and yoga. David is midway through his first novel, and exploring other avenues for his creative writing.

They have created The Guide to Self Help Books, the #1 online resource for the best in recommended self help books. The Guide contains over 1000 books in 60 categories, divided into sections on:

Mental Health Concerns (Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, etc.)
Challenges in Living (Intimate Relationships, Parenting, Grief and more)
Personal Growth (Spirituality, Meditation, Self Esteem, etc.)

Expressing their deep concern over the global environmental crisis, they created Saving The Earth as a resource for the best environmental books. It covers topics like global warming, ecology, endangered species, population growth, alternate energy, sustainable agriculture, green building and much more.

Their newest website is Joy of Making Love, a resource for adult erotic education with 500+ recommended books, CDs and videos.

Sandi describes their collaborative effort in producing guided meditation CDs: “We’ve co-written the words to all the meditations, and the artistic decisions have been pleasurably mutual. David wrote the song on Alchemy with our friend Roberta Schiller, and did much of the copywriting and editing on the album covers and websites. I perform the spoken meditations and the songs, which I really love! We have assembled a team of talented musicians, skilled studio engineers and a sensitive producer to bring our vision into reality.”

David sums up: “We’re not done yet! We have more projects on the drawing board, including a series of mind-body self help books, more audio guided meditation offerings, and additional websites focusing on health, pets, relationships and other topics about living a full and satisfying life.”
